reduced. Because the Common and Input of Ammeter have almost same electric
potential, connect the guard to the Common. In the case without guarding (left
figure), Ileak occurs an error. In the case with guarding (right figure), Ileak does not
flow through the Ammeter and does not effect the measurement. If the potential
difference between both ends of Rguard is 0, no leakage current flows there.
If the Common terminal is not connected to chassis ground, voltage of up to
500 V can be applied to the Common terminal. To prevent electrical shock, do
not touch any of measurement circuit at any time while a floating measurement
is in progress. Also use accessories that comply with IEC 61010-031. All
terminals and the extended conductors must be isolated by using insulation
caps, sleeves, etc.

électrique, ne touchez aucune mesure de circuit à tout moment lorsque la
mesure de flotte est en cours. Utiliser également des accessoires qui sont
conformes à la norme IEC 61010-031. Toutes les bornes et les conducteurs
prolongés doivent être isolés en utilisant des bouchons d'isolation, des
manchons, etc.
Do not apply current to the chassis ground. Doing so will damage the
instrument.
