mail,andfax)toworkthroughasingleclient,suchastheExchangeclient
includedwithWindows95andWindowsNT.MAPIusesthedefault
Windowse‐mailapplication(usuallyOutlookExpress).SMTP(SimpleMail
TransferProtocol)isaTCP/IPprotocolforsendingmessagesfromone
compu
tertoanotherthroughanetwork.Thisprotocolisusedonthe
Internettoroutee‐mail.Inmanycasesnoaccountisneeded.
