5.3.5 Colostrum (T4C farm management)
1
When a cow has recently calved, this information can be entered in T4C at "Attentions > Calendar > Overview"
(figure 5.9). After selecting the cow, the action can be executed and information regarding the calving and born
calves can be entered. When automatic groups are set, the cow is automatically transmitted to the milking group.
The cow is now registered in T4C as calved. As a result the milk will be automatically separated during the time
which was set at menu option "Attentions > Calendar > Settings"
• When entering a separation in T4C farm management, a checkbox indicates if any data was
send to the VCPC (Cattle Code Process Controller) correctly. Without checkbox no data
(separation) was send to the VCPC.
• In case one teat is treated with antibiotics and one is not milked, the milk of the cow must be
separated as there can be a misconnection.
