5.2.5 First time in the box
The cow is now identified as being a first time visitor to the ASTRONAUT
®
. After having replied to a number of
inquiries displayed on the control panel of the robot module or E-LINK
®
control panel (more user friendly).
This option ensures that the cow can be assisted, if necessary. If no-one
appears within 5 minutes, the cow will be automatically released from the box
within 5 minutes. By pressing the "yes" button, it is confirmed that assistance
is available.
This screen shows the following possibilities:
"Milk now [x]" = you wish to milk the cow at this moment
"Sep milk [ ]" = no separation of milk
"Supervision [ ]" = no assistance required for the cows next visit to the robot.
"Deviating teat [ ]" = the robot arm scans the teats at full speed [teat length 50 mm (2 in.)].
Settings can be changed by pressing the "previous screen" button (2, figure 3.2). For more information refer to
section 3.1 ’ROBOT CONTROL BOX PANEL (figure 3.2)’ or section 3.2 ’E-LINK CONTROL PANEL (optional)’.
After this, the different options can be selected.
By means of the "yes" or "no" button, it can be decided to "milk" or "not
milk" the cow.
By means of the selection keys (4) and (5) it can be decided to "separate"
(cross) or "not separate" (blank) milk.
By means of the selection keys (4) and (5) it can be decided to "milk" (cross)
or "not milk" (blank) the cow under supervision.
By means of the selection keys (4) and (5), the scanning rate of the robot arm
can be adjusted.
Full speed (blank) and at half speed (cross).
Operating at half speed is intended for teats shorter than 50 mm (2 in.).
