9.4.6.6 Imax controller
For a quick commissioning, the calculaons and sengs are made automacally during the
mot
or calibraon.
For typical applicaons, a manual adaptaon of the parameters of the Imax
c
ontroller is not recommended. A wrong seng may have a negave eect on
the control. For special applicaons, contact the manufacturer before adapng
the parameters.
Precondions
The Imax controller is only eecve in the motor control type "V/f characterisc control (VFC
open loop)".
Details
The Imax controller becomes acve in the V/f operaon if the actual motor current exceeds
the ma
ximum overload current "Max current". The Imax controller changes the output
frequency to counteract the exceedance.
The maximum overload current "Max current" is dened in 0x6073 (P324.00) in percent with
regard to the rated motor current "Motor rated current" 0x6075 (P323.00).
If the maximum overload current is exceeded:
•
During operaon in motor mode, the Imax controller reduces the output frequency.
•
During operaon in generator mode, the Imax controller increases the output frequency.
Seng notes
If oscillaons occur at the current limit during operaon:
•

educe gain of the Imax controller in 0x2B08:001 (P333.01).
•
Increase reset me of the Imax controller in 0x2B08:002
(P333.02).
•
Carry out the changes in small steps only (by 2 ... 3 % of the set value) unl the oscillaons
do not exist anymore.
If the Imax controller does not respond fast enough aer the maximum current has been
exceeded:
•
Increase gain of the Imax controller in 0x2B08:001 (P333.01).
•
Reduce reset me of the Imax controller in 0x2B08:002 (P333.02).
•
Carry out the changes in small steps only (by 2 ... 3 % of the set value in each case) unl
the response me is acceptable.
