6.3 Control/restrict direcon of rotaon of the motor
In the default seng, both direcons of motor rotaon are enabled. Oponally, the direcon
of rotaon can be restricted so that only a clockwise rotaon (CW) of the motor is possible.
Precondions
Wiring of the motor phases must be carried out correctly with regard to the direcon of
mot
or rotaon.
In the documentaon and the parameter selecon texts, the following terms are used for the
direcon of rotaon:

orward = clockwise direcon of rotaon (CW)
•
R
everse = counter-clockwise direcon of rotaon (CCW)
Details
The direcon of rotaon of the motor can be controlled in various ways:
•
Via the funcon "Reverse rotaonal direcon". Possible triggers for the funcon "Reverse
rotaonal direcon" are available for selecon in 0x2631:013 (P400.13), e.g.the digital
inputs and internal status signals of the inverter.
•
Via the network. The denion of the direcon of rotaon is possible via the mappable
NetWordIN1 data word or oneof the predened process data words.
•
By specifying a bipolar setpoint value via an analog input. Either via a bipolar input range
(-10 ... +10 V) or the conguraon of a bipolar seng range.
If a reversal of rotaon is not required, the direcon of rotaon can be restricted in 0x283A
(P304.00) to "Only clockwise (CW) [0]".

Since this funcon only prevents negave setpoints, counter-
clockwise rotaon (CCW) is possible if the motor has been wired for
this rotang direcon.
