shiftmarkerplateinstructions.Neverstart
inagearhigherthanfourthspeedgear,
evenwhendynamometertesting.
•Whenthetruckisstationary,donotshift
intoHIrangeandthenstartmovingthe
truck.Damagetothesynchronizercan
result.
•Becarefulnottooverspeedthe
engineduringdownshifting.Damageto
powertraincomponentsmayresult.
Reverse—ReversecanbeusedinLOonly.Tomakearangeshiftinreverse,bringthe
trucktoacompletestop.Fliptherangeselectorlevertorangedesired(preselect).Movethe
shiftleveroutofreversethroughNEUTRALandthenbackintoreverseagain.Asthelever
movesthroughNEUTRAL,therangeshiftwillbecompleted.
CAUTION

changerangewhilemovinginREVERSE.
