2.1.3 Vacuum Pump Problems
Problem Cause Solution
The vacuum pump stops
af
ter a short period of
operation.
The vacuum pump motor is
overheating.
Check the CAP cooling system (see
Section 4.4.1).
Replace the vacuum pump (see
Section 4.6.5).
The vacuum pump does
no
t start.
The Windjammer cable is not
connected correctly.
Check the Windjammer cable
connection (see Section 4.6.1).
The vacuum pump power cable is
not connected.
Check the vacuum pump power
conn
ector connection (see Section
4.2.1).
The vacuum pump is defective. Replace the vacuum pump (see
Section 4.6.5).
2.1.4 GUI Panel Problems
The blower motor does
not start.
The motor brushes are defective. Replace the blower motor brushes.
The F5 fuse is defective. Replace the fuse (see Section 7.1.1).
The motor drive PCB is defective Replace the motor drive PCB (see
Section 4.7.6).
The blower motor is defective. Replace the blower motor (see Section
4.6.2).
The 20-way cable is defective. Replace the 20-way cable.
The blower motor starts
at full sp
eed when the
MFC is turned on.
The motor drive PCB is defective. Replace the motor drive PCB (see
Section 4.7.6).
Problem Cause Solution
The GUI panel touch
screen is difficult to
use.
The GUI panel touch screen is not
calibrated correctly.
Calibrate the GUI panel (see Section
4.5.21).
The GUI panel is not
il
luminated.
The GUI panel is in standby mode. Touch the GUI panel touch screen to
turn on the GUI panel.
Fuse F1 is defective. Replace the fuse (see Section 7.1.1).
The 50-way cable is not connected. Check the cable connections.
The GUI panel assembly is
defective.
Replace the GUI panel assembly (see
Section 4.7.4).
The GUI CPU is defective. Replace the GUI CPU (see Section
4.7.3).
The Start/Stop buttons on
the scre
en bezel do not
operate.
The touch button PCB behind the
bezel is loose.
Attach the touch button PCB.
