4.5.16.1 Test the DynaTilt Home Limit Function
The creaser-unit dowel-pin must operate the
DynaTilt home switch before it hits the
end of the slot in the bearing-housing assembly.

Before you start:
• Remove the LH side cover (See Section 4.2.6).
Warning: Use extreme caution not to touch any electrical or mechanical components
when you operate the MFC with the side covers removed..
Step Action Information
1 Make the MFC do a DynaTilt
reference check.
• Set the main input switch to the
ON (I) position (the DynaTilt
mechanism will do a reference
check).
To repeat the reference check:
• Push in the emergency stop
button.
• Wait for five seconds, and then
release the emergency stop
button.
Note:
The DynaTilt mechanism will not do a
reference check if the rear
guard is
off the MFC.
2 Check that the DynaTilt home limit
is correct.
• Make sure that the creaser-unit
dowel-pin does not hit the
bearing-housing assembly.
• Make sure that the DynaTilt
home switch is operated with a
0.5mm clearance between the
creaser-unit dowel-pin and the
bearing housing assembly.
3 If the DynaTilt reference check
fails
Step 2, you must adjust the
DynaTilt home switch.
(See Section 4.5.16.2).
