21.Remove the four front engine mounting bolts

nuts

22.With the help of an assistant and the engine hoist,
raise the engine vertically out of the vehicle frame.
CAUTION
Have an assistant help guide the engine in and out of
the vehicle while using an engine hoist to prevent
personal injury or damage to vehicle components.
23.Remove the starter motor bolts

and starter motor
from the engine.
24.Remove the six transmission joint bracket bolts

and transmission joint bracket

from the engine.
25.Install the engine stand adapter (PU-50562 page )
onto the engine where the starter motor was located.
26.Select the proper engine stand sleeve adapter and
install it onto the engine stand adapter.
• Sleeve adapter for a 2″ bore engine stand:
(PU-50625)
• Sleeve adapter for a 2.375″ bore engine stand:
(PW-47054)
27.Place engine onto the engine stand (PU-50624) for
service.
