6. Remove the fasteners

securing the rear bearing
carrier to the upper and lower control arms.
7. With a short, sharp jerk, remove drive shaft from the
transmission splines.
REAR DRIVE SHAFT INSTALLATION
1. Install NEW spring ring on drive shaft. Apply an anti-
seize compound to the splines.
IMPORTANT
Some models have an O-ring
A
on the drive shaft. If
applicable, ensure the O-ring is present and not
damaged before installation.
