9. Lift the rear of the fuel tank up first. Carefully pull the
fuel tank out of the vehicle.
FUEL TANK INSTALLATION
1. Carefully reinstall the fuel tank assembly.
2. Install the vent line.
3. Install the seat base assembly and torque fasteners
to specification.
TORQUE
Seat Base Frame Front Fasteners
10 lb-ft (14 Nm)
Seat Base Frame Rear Fasteners
30 lb-ft (41 Nm)
4. Install the rear lower close-off panel and torque
fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Close-off Panel Fasteners
3.5 lb-ft (5 Nm)
5. Reinstall center console. Connect the shift linkage to
the shifter.
6. Install RH and LH center console sides. Torque
fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Console Fasteners
3.5 lb-ft (5 Nm)
7. Reconnect the fuel line and fuel pump electrical
harness. Verify connections are secure.
NOTICE
If equipped, re-install the rubber fuel pump cover.
8. Reinstall the battery and battery bracket. Refer to
“Battery Installation” page 2.55 procedure.
9. Install both seats and access panels. Test the fuel
pump by turning the ignition key on and listening for
the pump to activate. Check the fuel line fittings for
leaks.
