15.Remove the fastener securing the bottom of the
intake plenum to the rear transmission mount.
Carefully remove the intake plenum and electronic
throttle control as an assembly.
NOTICE
Components hidden for image clarity.
16.Remove vent hose from transmission.
17.Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor connector, gear
position switch connector, and crankshaft position
sensor connector.

18.Remove the plastic tie straps retaining the harness to
the transmission.
19.Disconnect the transmission shift cable by removing
the nut and sliding the shift cable off the bellcrank.
20.Mark the location of the upper shift cable jam nut.
Loosen the lower jam nut and remove the shift cable
assembly from the bracket.
21.Place a spacer or support between the vehicle frame
and engine to hold the engine up in position.
