Erasing a Waypoint
5. To edit the waypoint position, press the EDIT WAYPOINT soft key, followed
by POSITION. The Waypoint Positionpop-up is displayed.
Use the softkeys to select LAT, LON, BRG or RNG.
Use the trackpad to edit the value:
Usetheleft or rightsideof thetrackpadto movethe cursortothecharacter
you wish to change.
Use the topor bottom of the trackpadto scroll through the characters.
Adjust each parameter until the waypoint position is correct.
Whenyouhavefinishededitingtheposition,pressENTER tosavetheposition
or CLEAR to cancel the operation. Press ENTER or CLEAR again, the
WaypointPosition window is removed from the screenand the default soft
keysare displayed.
Erasing a Waypoint
You cannot erase the target waypoint or waypoints that are used in routes.
However, you can remove a waypoint from the current route - see Editing a
Route on page 5-27.
If you try to erase a waypointthat is usedin a saved route you arewarned
“WAYPOINT IS USED IN A ROUTE & CANNOT BE DELETED”
➤ To delete a waypointusing the cursor:
1. Movethecursoroverthewaypoint,untilthelettersWPT aredisplayed.The
waypointsoft keys aredisplayed.
2. Press the ERASE WAYPOINT soft key. The waypoint is removed from the
screenand the WaypointList is updated.
Note: If you have stopped a GOTO (see Stop Follow or Stop Goto on
page 5-33),thetargetwaypointremainsdisplayedasa target;youneedtouse
the CLEAR GOTO soft key before you can erase the waypoint using the cursor.
➤ To delete a waypointusing the waypointlist:
1. Select the waypoint from the waypoint list as previouslydescribed.The
waypointlist soft keys are displayed.
2. PresstheEDIT WAYPOINT softkey,followedbyERASE WAYPOINT.Theway-
point is removed from the screenand the waypoint list is updated.
Moving a Waypoint
Youcanmove any waypointexceptthe targetwaypoint(thewaypointyou are
following). You can use the Waypoint soft keys and cursor to move the
selected waypoint,or you can edit the waypoint position.
