Day/Night
Day/Night
This option allows you to change the display between day and night modes.
If you select NIGHT mode, a differentpalette,more suited to night time
viewingis used.
Help
When Help is set to ON, aprompt appears when selectinga soft key or menu
choice, and when using the context-sensitivecursor. Thehelp message is
clearedwhen an action is selected.
Soft Keys
WhentheSoftKeysoptionissettoON,thedefaultsoftkeysaredisplayedifno
other operation is in progress.
When the Soft Keys option is set to OFF, the default soft keysare only
displayedwhen a soft key is pressed, and they disappearif no operationis
performed for 10seconds.
Key Beep
This optioncontrolswhether or not the keysmake a noise when you press them.
MOB Data
This option controls whether MOB data is based on position data, or on dead
reckoning(DR). Dead reckoning normally provides a better indicationof the
courseto an objectin the water, on the assumption that your vessel and the
object are both subject to the same tide and wind effects.
Autopilot Pop Up
Thisoptioncontrolswhetherornottheautopilotpopupisdisplayed.Whenset
to ON, if the status and locked heading of the autopilot changes, they are
displayedin a pop up box. The box is removed fromthe display aftertwo
seconds.
When AutopilotPop Up is set to OFF, the pop up box is disabled.
Menu Timeout Period
With no timeout set, menus and soft key labels remain displayed untilyou
clear them by pressingENTER, CLEAR or the appropriate dedicated key.
Ifyousetavaluehere,themenusandsoftkeylabelswillbeclearedifakeyhas
not beenpressed for the specified number of seconds.
Thissettingdoesnotaffectthe defaultsoft key labels,whicharecontrolledby
theSoft Keys option (see above).
