Setting Alarms and Timers
➤ Tosetupanalarmortimer:
1. Press the ALARMS key. The Alarms Set Up menu is displayed, showing
the currentsettings(see Figure 6-2).
2. Usethetrackpadtomovetheselectionbarupordown theoptions.Aseach
line is highlighted,the soft key labels are updated to show the currentset-
tings and controls.

3. Usethe up or down soft keys to changethe alarm setting.For example, for
the arrivalalarm you can adjust the radius from the waypoint at which the
arrivalalarmwill be triggered.
The arrival,off track and anchor alarmdistancescan be set in the range
0.01 to 9.99 nm, in steps of 0.01nm.
Thegroundingalarmdepthcanbesetfrom1to20m in1mstepsandcanbe
specified to cover a sector at a rangefrom 0 to 1nm, in 0.1nm steps.
Thetimerissetinhours,minutesandseconds,andthealarmclockinhours
and minutes.
4. If required, press the ALARM OFF ON softkey to toggle the alarm on or off.
Ifyouturnanalarmoff,itsvalueisretainedandwillbeusedwhenyouturn
the alarm on again.
Note:You can turn all the alarms and timers on and off, except for the Arrival
Alarm which is always on.
5. Press ENTER to save the changes and clear the list.
