zoneand target historydisplay.
The followingtable lists the MARPA Set Up parameters and their options,
shows thefactory default setting, and provides a spacefor you to make a note
of yournew default setting. Each parameter is described in the following
subsections.
Target Vector and Predicted Position
The target vector can be Trueor Relative.Trueindicatesthe target’s true
courseandspeed over ground. IfTruevectorsareselected,thevessel’s vector
isalso shown. A Relative vectorindicates the target’s course and speed
relative to your vessel.
The lengthof the vector is determined by the targetpredicted position aftera
settime interval.
Safe Zone
The safe zone options are used to set the dangeroustarget alarm limits.
The safezone is a ring, centredon your vessel, withinwhich a target is
considered dangerous. A target can also be considereddangerouswhen it is
within a specified time of the safe zone. You can switch the safe zone on/off.
When the zone is on and a target is acquired, the safezone ring is displayed.
Target History
Target historycan be setto plot the targets’previous position at specified
intervals. The four most recent position pointsare displayed. If True target
vectorsare selected, then the four most recent vessel position points are also
displayed.
