8.1 Introduction
This chapter providesinstallation instructions for your hsb
2
series LCD
display. Simple systems such as that in Figure 8-1 below, or integrated
systems (see Section 8.8) are explained. Details for mounting the
hsb
2
series
LCDdisplayand connectingthe equipment are included.
• To installa single
hsb
2
seriesdisplayunit follow the instructions in
Section 8.2 to Section 8.6.
Ifthisdisplayisaradarunit,youshouldthentestthedisplayasdescribedin
Section 8.7.
• To connect your display to other equipment, follow the guidelines in
Section 8.8 and Section 8.9,takingparticularcare to ensurethe correct
polarityof the SeaTalk supply.
• To installmultipledisplays,installthe first display and any other equip-
ment, then test the systemas describedin Section 8.2 to Section 8.9.You
can theninstall additional displays.
