7.2 Changing the Set Up Parameters
The setup parameters are divided into foursections:
• System,to control the aspects of the system that are not specific to the
radar or chart.
• Radar, includes bearingalignment, display preferences and the timed
transmission option.
• MARPA,to controltheMARPAtargettrackingparameters,includingtar-
get vectors,safe zone and target history display.
• Advanced,to controlspecialistradarsettingssuchas display timing,STC
preset and tune preset (see Section 7.6 for instructions on how to access
thesefunctions).
• Chart,tocontrolthechartplotterdisplay,includingwaypointinformation,
vectorsand radar/chart synchronization.
Note: The GPS and Track Set Up menus are described in Chapter 6.
Thissection provides instructions for displayingand changing the default
values. The followingsectionslist the parameters and their possible settings,
and describe the functionof each parameter in turn.
➤ To set the default parameters:
1. Press the MENU key to display theset up soft keys - the options available
dependon the selected operating mode.

2. Pressthe soft key for the set up you require.
The requestedset up menu is displayed, listingthe parameters and their
current settings.
3. Use the trackpadto move the selection bar up and down the list. An arrow
is displayed at the top or bottom right-handcorner if you can scroll thelist
to displayfurther parameters.
As each lineis highlighted,the soft keys are updated to show the settings
available.
