15 JP1-21 CAN TERM H CAN Bus terminating resistor installed
inside the TA. If not connected, intermittent
communication codes will be displayed.
2.5VDC TA CAN Bus
16 JP1-23 BUS + Carries the positive component of the
digital communications between the TA,
VM, Service Port, and the Battery Charger
through SPL2. If this connection is missing,
the TA cannot communicate with the other
devices. Troubleshoot using resistance
checks. No useful information can be
gained by measuring the voltage on this
wire.

17 JP1-25 (+) 12V OUT Supplies 12VDC to the Traction Motor
Encoder (TME) and switch SW2 through
SPL6.

18 JP1-31 T Vel Phase A Generated when there is movement of the
Traction Motor. It is a square wave that is
either high (>4VDC) or low (<1VDC).
Frequency varies directly with the speed of
the Traction Motor and the TA uses it to
determine travel speed. Identical formation
to T Vel Phase B except for the phasing
between the two. The VM uses the
quadrature phase relationship between
Phases A and B to determine travel
direction.
At Rest: Either
4.7VDC or
0.03VDC
