With a normal asynchronous motor, heat dissipation is insufficient at
low-speed running, the electronic heat protection value will be compen‐
sated automatically.
● 2: Heat protection inactive at low-speed
With a special motor for frequency conversion, heat dissipation will not
be deteriorated at low-speed running, the electronic heat protection val‐
ue automatic compensation is unnecessary.

● If the rated frequency converter current is different from that of the mo‐
tor, motor over load protection factor needs to be set properly for effec‐
tive motor protection:
Motor over load protection factor (%) = (Rated motor current / Rated fre‐
quency converter current) × 100 %
● The inverse time characteristic of over load protection is shown figure
below.
