Pgen Output Trim (Pgen1 & Pgen2)

Can b
e trimmed to within 1.25 Hz of nominal.
To calibrate a pulse rate output (Pgen1 or Pgen2):
1. Connect a frequency counter to the supply and return terminals of the pulse rate output
under test.
2. In the [Analog Out Trim] menu move the highlight to the port to be tested by pressing the
<Up/Down Arrow>. Then press the<Right Arrow> and then press <Down Arrow> to move
the cursor to [Trim @ 1 kHz].

3. Press <ENTER>. This triggers a 1 kHz pop-up window. The frequency counter should
now be reading 1 kHz.
4. If the frequency counter reading does not match, use the numeric keys to type in the
frequency counter reading.
5. Press <ENTER> to register setting. This adjusts the flow meter’s DAC (digital-to-analog
converter) so that a 1 kHz output corresponds with 1 kHz on the frequency counter.
6. Re-check the frequency counter to make sure that it is now reading 1 kHz.
