Example:
Configuring the motor deceleration with internal braking response (OFF 3)
1. Select the monitoring type in the "Monitoring" drop-down list:
– with SAM
– with SBR
2. Click "Monitoring" and parameterize the alternative brake monitoring functions "SAM" and
"SBR" in the dialog (see Chapter "SAM/SBR (extended functions) (Page 243)").
3. Enter the required delay time in the "Delay time SS2 -> SOS active" (p9552) input field.
4. Enter a value for the standstill tolerance in the "Standstill monitoring" (p9530) field.
5. Click "Save project" in the toolbar to save the changes in the project.
Configuring the motor deceleration with external stop
Unplanned axis movements during Safe Stop 1
During the delay time (p9652), for "Safe Stop 1 (time-controlled) with external stop",
random axis movements are possible which can result in severe injuries or death in an
extreme situation.
• Take suitable measures to prevent random axis movements, e.g. by using a brake with
safety-relevant monitoring.
