Configuring safe absolute position
1. Select the "Absolute" setting in the "Safe Position" drop-down list.
2. Click "Safe homing" and check the actual position values in the dialog of the same name.
3. Enter a tolerance value for checking the actual values in the "Tolerance for actual value
comparison" (p9544) field.
4. Click "Save project" in the toolbar to save the changes in the project.
Configuring safe relative position
1. Select the "Relative" setting in the "Safe Position" drop-down list.
2. Click "Safe homing" and check the actual position values in the dialog of the same name.
3. Click "Save project" in the toolbar to save the changes in the project.

SCA (Advanced Functions)
With the "Safe Cam" function (SCA), you implement safe electronic cams, safe zone
sensing, or a working area limitation/protection zone delimitation for a specific axis, to
replace a hardware-based solution. You parameterize up to 30 cams for each axis. You
enable each cam individually.
Precondition
The "Safe Cam" (SCA) safety function can only be used with an encoder.
Configuring SCA
1. Owing to variations in the cycle and signal propagation times, the cam signals of the two
monitoring channels do not switch simultaneously and not precisely at the same position.
If necessary, enter a tolerance band for all output cam types in field "Hysteresis" (p9540).
Within this tolerance band, the monitoring channels can have different signal states for
the same cam:
