7.4.2.4 Optimization
Overview
After quick setup has been completed, you can use the function One Button Tuning (OBT) to
optimize the converter settings.
With One Button Tuning, the mechanical drive train is measured using short test signals. In
this way, the controller parameters are optimally adapted to the existing mechanical system.
Requirement
To reduce the stress on the mechanical system, the torque limit can be reduced before OBT. After
OBT has been completed, the previous value can be set again.
NOTICE
Material damage caused by an impermissible direction of motion of the motor
One Button Tuning
runs the motor in both directions. Impermissible directions of motion can
damage the machine or installation.
• If a particular direction of motion of the motor is impermissible, do not carry out One Button
Tuning.
