3.4.3 Line 󹪝lters
Description
Line 󹪝lters limit the conducted interference emissions from the converters to the permissible
limit values according to IEC 61800-3 Category C2.
Line 󹪝lters are passive components used to expand the EMC properties of the servo drive
system.
Siemens recommends that you use a line 󹪝lter to protect the system from high frequency
noise.
Note
For applications in European Union, UK, and Kor
ea, the use of the recommended line 󹪝lters is
mandatory to ful󹪝ll the local EMC directives.
Note
The maximum length of the cable used to connect the line 󹪝lt
er to the converter is 3m.
