1.3 SAFETY
• Safety shield
The transparent safety shield is designed to cover the working parts and make them as safe as possible.
The shield must be raised to t keys to be cut or to perform other operations on the machine.
Raising the shield, controlled by microswitches, deactivates the operational functions and movements, including
those for the cutter, and signals that the shield has not been lowered with a special message on the machine
display.
To activate the work cycle, close the shield and press the START key on the machine keypad.
• Emergency Stop
In the event of malfunctioning or a hazard for the operator the machine can be stopped immediately by pressing
the red emergency button on the right-hand side.
When the cause of the emergency has been eliminated, release the button by turning it 45° clockwise.
ATTENTION: it is the operator’s task to keep the area around this button completely free so that it can be
reached and activated as quickly as possible.
