4.5 CHANGING THE CUTTER/DECODER
To remove a decoder or cutter from the spindle, raise the safety shield and proceed as follows:
1) Hold the cutter or decoder with one hand.
2) To release the tool move the lever (A) towards the operator until it comes to a stop.
3) Remove the tool.
To t a tool, raise the safety shield and proceed as follows:
• CUTTER: t the tool into the spindle; push all the way in and turn until it clicks into place on the anti-rotation
stop in the groove (J) on the tool (Fig. 26).
• DECODER: t the tool into the spindle and push all the way in.
Hold the tool in place with one hand and with the other move the lever (A) towards the back of the machine to
lock the tool.
