6.2 Routine
Maintenance
Procedures included in this Routine Maintenance Guide should be
carried out only by operators who have received proper STERIS
training. Refer to appropriate sections containing detailed
instructions following this table for complete procedures.
Table 6-1. Routine Maintenance Guide
Recommended frequency of inspection is indicated in the right column. Usage and
utility conditions may require more or less frequent inspections.

1.0 PREPARATION FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
When required by procedure, shut off all building services and drain all lines.
Always follow local occupational health and safety regulations, as well as electric
and plumbing codes.

2.0 PRINTER
2.1
Verify for proper operation of printer. Verify printout for darkness, missing dots, etc.
Replace ribbon cartridge if necessary (see S
ECTION 6.9).

2.2 Change printer paper roll (see SECTION 6.9). As required
3.0 CHAMBER COMPONENTS
3.1
Verify debris screen in chamber is clean and in good condition. Replace if
necessary (see S
ECTION 6.3).

3.2 Perform a D-SHORT cycle (see S
ECTION 6.5). Every 54 h
3.3 Clean chamber rotary spray arm assembly (see SECTION 6.12). 1 X/week
3.4 Perform a D-LONG cycle (see S

Clean three draining holes at bottom of control handle boots using a thin wire
(such as a paper clip) or compressed air (see S
