21. If required, connect Flow Unit to irrigation tube or dilators, as
explained in Endoscope Quick Reference Guide.
22. Place large accessories, such as channel cleaning brushes, in
large mesh basket (see Figure 4-11).
23. If only accessories (e.g., dilators, bougies, channel cleaning
brushes) are being processed, without endoscopes, run a
DOUBLE endoscope processing cycle with washing phase using
Reliance dry chemistry and STERIS chemical indicator. See
S
ECTION 4.2, GENERAL PROCESSING GUIDELINES, through SECTION
4.7, PRE-PROCESSING CHECKLIST, for additional information.
NOTE: For a 50 Hz processor, refer to the Operator Manual
Information Supplement (P920501-322) for additional
information.
IMPORTANT: For this special DOUBLE endoscope processing
cycle, test cords and insertion tube sleeves with a blue dot
identification must be used in both control handle boots "A" and
"B". This will maintain sufficient pressure inside control handle
boots in absence of endoscopes.
If processing dilators and bougies, follow instructions in
Endoscope Quick Reference Guide for Flow Unit 5.
24. To load endoscope processing support, without endoscopes,
and to run a DOUBLE endoscope processing cycle with washing
phase, proceed as follows:
a. Verify display shows:
b. Verify chamber door is open. If not, press UNLOCK toggle
switch to unlock processor door and open door. Printer prints:

c. Pull endoscope processing support out of chamber.
d. Open control handle boots "A" and "B". Insert one insertion
tube sleeve with a blue dot identification in insertion tube
inlet of each boot (see Figure 4-14).
e. Insert test cord (Ø5
/16"; provided in calibration kit) in insertion
tube sleeve and in flaps of universal cord port of control
handle boots "A" and "B" (see Figure 4-15). Let test cord
extend approximately 51 mm (2") outside of universal cord
port (see Figure 4-15). Close control handle boots and latch.
f. Place accessories in Reliance EPS Processor.

THIS SECTION
(SECTION 4.3, LOADING ENDOSCOPE PROCESSING SUPPORT) to
follow the instructions on how to place the accessories in the
processor. Also refer to the Endoscope Quick Reference
Guide for more details.
