6.12 Rotary Spray Arm
Assembly
See Figure 6-8.
1. Clean processor chamber rotary spray arm assembly as follows:
a. At top of chamber, loosen thumb screw from rotary spray
arm assembly.
b. Remove and lower rotary spray arm assembly.
c. Clean spray arms under running water.
d. Use a fine wire (approximately wire gauge of a paper clip) to
clean out sediment from spray nozzles. Rinse under running
water.
e. Install rotary spray arm assembly into ceiling of chamber.
Tighten thumb screw.
2. To clean rotary spray arm assembly of endoscope processing
support, repeat Steps b to d then reinstall.
WARNING ELECTRIC SHOCK
AND/OR BURN HAZARD:
Disconnect all utilities to
processor before servicing.
Do not service processor
unless all utilities have
been properly locked out.
Always follow local
electrical codes and safety-
related work practices.
Pressing bottom portion of
POWER (ON/OFF) toggle
switch to turn off processor
DOES NOT cut off electrical
power. Lockout/Tagout
building electrical disconnect
switch to turn off power to
processor for maintenance
or repairs.
Fasteners and star washers
are used to ensure protective
bonding continuity. Always
reinstall any star washer
which may have been
removed during installation
or servicing.
WARNING SLIPPING HAZARD:
To avoid slippery floor
conditions, immediately wipe
up any spilled liquids or
drippage. If spilled liquids or
drippage are detergents or
other chemicals, follow safety
precautions and handling
procedures set forth on
detergent or chemical label
and/or Safety Data Sheet
(SDS).
