b. Carefully feed distal tip of insertion tube into split insertion
tube sleeve (see Figure 4-9).
c. When split insertion tube sleeve is located further up
insertion tube, away from distal tip bigger end, close sleeve
carefully around insertion tube (see Figure 4-10).
d. Carefully slide split insertion tube sleeve to other end of
insertion tube, near control handle.
IMPORTANT: Refer to Endoscope Quick Reference Guide
to ensure there are no special placement instructions
required for the endoscope being processed.
NOTE: Verify angulation knobs are unlocked and distal tip is
straight before proceeding to next step.
e. Carefully feed distal end of insertion tube into insertion tube
slide (see Figures 4-6 and 4-7). Feed nearly all insertion tube
and, when control handle is located over control handle boot,
leave control handle to rest on control handle boot frame.
IMPORTANT: Hold insertion tube near control handle boot
opening to ease insertion and prevent damage caused by
kinking or excessive bending.
NOTE: For insertion tubes that are hard to insert, wet tube
with water to ease insertion.
