If optional Automated Leak Test Assembly is present;
Appropriate leak test hose is connected to each endoscope
leak test port (see S
ECTION 4.4.1, PREPARATION);
Quick connect extremity of each leak test hose is connected
to appropriate flexible connection (see S
ECTION 4.4.1,
P
REPARATION);
Pressure is relieved from endoscope(s) (see SECTION 4.4.1,
P
REPARATION);
Reliance dry chemistry container's expiration date is valid,
container is placed in Reliance CDS and the latch is closed on
the Reliance CDS (see S
ECTION 4.5, INSTALLING RELIANCE DRY
CHEMISTRY CONTAINER);
STERIS chemical indicator bottle's expiration date is valid and
chemical indicator strip is placed in the clip on control handle
boot "A" (see S
ECTION 4.6, INSERTING STERIS CHEMICAL
INDICATOR STRIP).
If all previous items are satisfactory, proceed with S
ECTION 4.8,
PROCESSING CYCLE.
4.8 Processing Cycle There may be up to four cycle options to choose from depending if
WASHING SELECT option is set to YES or NO in Supervisor mode:
SINGLE endoscope processing cycle with washing phase, to
process one endoscope (one endoscope is placed in control
handle boot "A") through washing and high level disinfection
phases.
SINGLE endoscope processing cycle without washing phase,
to process one endoscope (one endoscope is placed in control
handle boot "A") through a high level disinfection phase only.
DOUBLE endoscope processing cycle with washing phase,
to process two endoscopes (one endoscope is placed in control
handle boot "A" and one in control handle boot "B") through
washing and high level disinfection phases.
DOUBLE endoscope processing cycle without washing
phase, to process two endoscopes (one endoscope is placed in
control handle boot "A" and one in control handle boot "B")
through a high level disinfection phase only.
Total nominal cycle time with a washing phase is approximately
42 minutes. Cycle time depends on cycle settings entered in
Supervisor mode. Temperature, pressure and quality of building
water supply can also influence cycle time. Processing cycle
proceeds through cycle phases as described in Table 5-1, C
ycle

NOTE: If an error message is displayed at any time during cycle, refer
to S
ECTION 7, TROUBLESHOOTING, for possible causes and solutions.

PROCESS HAZARD: Using
washing phase of the cycle
does not replace the
requirement for manual
cleaning.
