4.9 Process
Verification and
Unloading Procedure
Reliance EPS Processor provides the operator with methods of
quality assurance monitoring and allows for immediate parametric,
process and physical verification of the cycle.
IMPORTANT: Good Hospital Practice dictates processing of all
endoscopes be verified after high level disinfection in the Reliance
EPS. Should any processing cycle fail verification, endoscope(s)
must be reprocessed in another cycle.
Parametric controls are performed by the Reliance EPS
Processor to ensure each cycle meets specifications and cycle
data is documented on the printed tape (see Figures 4-24 and 4-
25).
Process verification is achieved through use of a STERIS
chemical indicator and fresh dry chemistry container detection
meter.
Physical verification of the process is performed by the operator.
The operator must ensure all process parameters were acceptable
as explained in S
ECTION 4.9.1, VERIFICATION 1 PARAMETRIC
CONTROLS, through SECTION 4.9.3, VERIFICATION 3 PHYSICAL.
IMPORTANT: Processing verification must be performed within
five minutes after opening the chamber door.

ensure all verification steps are completed as described in

ECTION 4.9.1, VERIFICATION 1 PARAMETRIC CONTROLS, through
