6.6 Surfaces of
Processor
The following cleaning procedures should be performed once per week:
1. Clean front of processor using a general purpose cleaner
(nonabrasive). Rinse with tap water and dry with a lint-free cloth.
2. Wipe all inside and outside plastic surfaces or painted surfaces
with a soft cloth dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol or any
nonabrasive household cleaner (such as glass or countertop
cleaners). Rinse thoroughly with tap water and dry with a lint-free
cloth.
3. If processor is freestanding, clean countertop (optional) and side
enclosure panels using a general purpose cleaner (nonabrasive).
Rinse thoroughly with tap water and dry with a lint-free cloth.
4. Once a day, ensure there are no cleaner spills or drippage on
steel surfaces inside processor. If there are, clean steel surface
using a soft damp cloth. If a stain remains on steel surface,
slightly scrub stain using a scouring pad.
6.7 Draining Holes and
Punching Rods
1. Clean three draining holes at bottom of each control handle boot
using a thin wire (such as a paper clip) or compressed air.
2. Clean two draining holes at bottom of Reliance CDS using a thin
wire (such as a paper clip) or compressed air (see Figure 6-2).
3. Once a week, clean venting orifice of two Allen hex screws from
Reliance CDS as follows :
a. Remove two Allen hex screws from Reliance CDS (see
Figure 6-2).
b. Using compressed air, clean small orifice at center of each screw.
c. Reinstall two Allen hex screws on Reliance CDS.
4. Once a week, verify punching rods inside Reliance CDS are not
slack. Using a #2 Phillips head screwdriver, tighten three screws
under Reliance CDS.
