7. If used, remove control handle boot plug and insertion tube sleeve.
Store on their dedicated holders on endoscope processing support.
IMPORTANT: After processing, use immediately or store and
use per facility department policy and procedures. The "Multi-
society Guideline for Reprocessing Flexible Gastrointestinal
Endoscopes"

recommends that prior to storage the endoscope
channels be flushed with 70% to 90% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol
and dried using forced air. The reprocessed endoscopes should
be handled using aseptic procedure and stored in a manner to
minimize the possibility of contamination before its next use.
Refer to the device manufacturer for any specific instructions
regarding the storage of the device.
4.10 Water Sampling
Test
IMPORTANT: For more detailed instructions about water sampling,
refer to Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification
Documentation Package (IQ/OQ/PQ) for the Reliance EPS
Endoscope Processing System (P920501-501).
IMPORTANT: Water sampling should only be conducted by a trained
microbiologist and under standard hospital procedures for infection,
hazardous waste and pathogen control. Sterile harvesting is a
technique sensitive method and close consideration should be given
to aseptic technique.
To perform a Water Sampling test, proceed as follows:
1. Ensure water sampling option is enabled in Miscellaneous
Values menu of Supervisor mode (refer to S
ECTION 5.2.3, SETTING
MISCELLANEOUS VALUES, for details).
2. Exit Supervisor mode by pressing ESC touch pad until READY
screen appears:
3. Depending on load in processor, start a SINGLE or DOUBLE
cycle with or without WASHING (as desired; see S
ECTION 4.8.2,
STARTING CYCLE, for details).
4. Let cycle run.
5. WATER SAMPLE TEST screen allows opening of chamber door
just before draining sub-phase of RINSE 2 phase (refer to
Table 5-1, Cycle Description Chart, for details).
