14. Remove two bearing races (9) and thrust bearing
(10).
15. Remove grease seal (3) by wedging it out with a
screwdriver.

16. Remove the shell bearing (4) by prying the bearing
cage open and remove the rollers. Insert key tool
(25) horizontally between the races. Press the key to
remove the bearing from the housing (5).

17. Remove shaft seal (8) by inserting a pick tool (26)
between housing (5) and back-up washer (7). Wiggle
pick tool up and down to begin to dislodge the seal
and work the point deeper in. Work all the way
around the seal until the seal can be removed.
Remove back-up washer.
NOTICE
Inspection Notes
Keeping parts in assembly order, clean and air dry
each item for inspection.
Inspect bearing (19) in valve plate. Remove the
bearing only if signs of wear or contamination are
visible. Remove the bearing from valve plate by
tapping it with a hammer and a screwdriver. Remove
thrust bearing (20).
Inspect for worn or defective parts.
Look for metal chips or slivers during cleaning (an
indication of damage to pump or other hydraulic
component).
Inspect all parts for cracks, nicks, burrs, and
excessive wear. Inspect for scoring, galling, and
scratches on surfaces. Replace parts as necessary.

It is important that motor parts are marked
and placed in assembly order to aid in
assembly.
It is important that all motor parts are
absolutely clean, as contamination can result
in serious damage and/or improper operation.
Never use shop towels or rags to dry parts
after cleaning, as lint may clog passages. Dry
parts using compressed air.
