NOTE
• Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
• Make certain negative (–) battery cable is
disconnected before disconnecting the starter and
alternator cables.
19. Pull rubber boot back, and remove starter nut.
Disconnect starter battery cable (10).
20. Disconnect two wire connectors (11 and 12).
21. Pull rubber boot back, and remove alternator nut.
Disconnect alternator cable (13).
22. Disconnect wire connector (14) from back of
alternator.
23. Remove screw and disconnect engine oil pressure
switch wire (15).

correct installation.
24. Remove nut and disconnect wire (16) from glow plug
connector bar.
25. Remove nut and disconnect wire (17) from coolant
temperature sending unit.
26. Disconnect wire connector (18) from fuel shutoff
solenoid.
27. Loosen hose clamp (19) and disconnect hose (20)
from fuel injection pump.
28. Loosen hose clamp (21) and disconnect return hose
(22) from fuel injector nozzle.

29. Remove screw (23), flat washer (24) and nyloc nut
(25). Disconnect battery ground cable (26) and
engine ground cable (27).
