PPTC A Toshiba-supplied adapter—An adapter that is used to connect: an SMDR
device, ASCII maintenance terminal, or remote maintenance external modem.
PC-TTY-CABLE A Toshiba-supplied adapter—An adapter that is used to connect: the modular
SMDR, SMDI, MIS for ACD, Open Architecture (OA), maintenance ports of
the PIOU, PIOUS, to the DB-9 (PPTC-9) connector of a call accounting
machine, DK Admin personal computer (PC), SMIS personal computer or
Open Architecture personal computer.
PRI Primary Rate Interface—ISDN30 Interface.
PSTU2 Standard Telephone Interface Unit—An optional PCB with a built-in ring
generator that provides interface for eight standard telephones or optional
hardware peripherals (voice mail devices, Background Music source, fax
machines, etc.). The PSTU2 has a square wave ring generator that can be set for
190V peak-to-peak or 130V peak-to-peak. The PSTU2 is also used with older
Strata systems.
RAM Random Access Memory—Refers to the type of system memory that holds
individual system configuration and feature programming. RAM is read/write
memory, and can be easily revised in programming.
RBSU ISDN BRI Unit—An optional PCB that provides support for 2 ISDN BRI
circuits, (4 B channels). The two circuits are switchable (TE/NT).
RBSS ISDN BRI Unit—Subassembly that can be connected to the RBSU to provide
support for two additional SBus (NT) circuits (4 B channels).
RKYS2 Modular add-on key or integrated circuit that installs onto the K5RCU to add
the auto attendant feature and ACD to the DK40.
RKYS3 Modular add-on key or integrated circuit that installs onto the K5RCU to add
the auto attendant feature, ACD and MIS to the DK40.
RPCI Computer Data Interface Unit—Replaces the normal telephone base and it can
be switched to a second mode automatically and used with a Telephone
Application Program Interface (TAPI) software application.
ROM Read Only Memory—Refers to the type of system memory that holds static
software that comprises the mechanics of the features’ functions. ROM is only
revised by Toshiba software engineers.
RPTU ISDN PRI Unit—Provides support for up to a maximum of 12 ISDN Primary
rate channels.
