– Remove coolant pump securing bolts through holes in belt
pulley -arrows- and remove coolant pump.
If coolant pump must be renewed:
– Remove coolant pump belt pulley. To do this, counterhold belt
pulley with a drift (commercially available).
Installing:
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing,
note the following:
– Check spray applied seal of coolant pump. If the gasket is
damaged, the coolant pump must be renewed.
– Fit coolant pump.
– Tighten securing bolts for coolant pump. Specified torque: 8
Nm
– Install belt pulley for coolant pump. Specified torque: 20 Nm
– Install poly V-belt ⇒ page 34 .
– Fill with new coolant ⇒ page 158 .

Removing
– Remove throttle valve module - J338- ⇒ page 242 .
– Remove wiper arms ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 92 ; Wind‐
screen wiper system; Removing and installing wiper arms .
– Removing plenum chamber cover ⇒ General body repairs,
exterior; Rep. gr. 64 ; Removing and installing plenum cham‐
ber cover
– Remove centre plenum chamber bulkhead ⇒ General body
repairs, exterior; Rep. gr. 50 ; Plenum chamber bulkhead .
– Detach electrical connector from pump.
– Unscrew nut -A- and unscrew bracket for pump -arrows- from
cover.
– Clamp off and remove coolant hoses from pump.
– Unscrew pump from bracket.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing,
note the following:
