• Front mounting: dimension -a- = 2 mm
• Centre mounting: dimension -a- = 15 mm
• Rear mounting: dimension -a- = 12 mm
– Hold exhaust system in this position and tighten threaded con‐
nections of clamps uniformly to 35 Nm.

A second mechanic is required when aligning an exhaust sys‐
tem with repair clamps between front and rear silencers
♦
If all adjustment dimensions are impossible to achieve, loosen
respective bracket at body and move bracket.
2.7 Checking exhaust system for leaks
– Start engine and allow to idle.
– Seal exhaust tailpipes with cloths for the duration of the leak‐
age test.
– Listen for noise at connection points (cylinder head/exhaust
manifold, exhaust manifold/front exhaust pipe, etc.) to locate
any leaks.
– Repair any leaks found.
