5.2 Local group
pushbuttons
The local inputs (E1.1...E6.2) are available for the local operation of individual
products
Local group pushbuttons serve the joint local operation of products with
pushbutton switches (product groups). They are independent from the
groups in the control panel that can be used to operate several channels to-
gether via the control panel (channel groups).
The locking contact inputs V1...V6 (for the 4M actuator V1...V4 only) can be
used for the joint local operation of several products as a local group.
Each locking contact can either be used for locking or as a group input for a
group pushbutton switch, but not for both together.
Only one single locking contact input is needed to lock a product.
A locking contact input can lock several products on the same actuator.
To form a light and fan product groups, one locking contact is required for
each group; for the sun shading product and window product types, two ad-
jacent locking contacts are required as local group inputs.
The group inputs can be allocated to several products on the same actuator.
The fault sensor contact can neither be disabled nor operated via group
pushbuttons.
Under [Manage products] > [Group pushbutton connection], the alloca-
tion of the group pushbutton(s) is defined. Only group inputs that are still
available on the actuator are offered. Locking contacts already used for lock-
ing are no longer available as group inputs (and vice versa).
To form local groups from products located on different actuators, the group
inputs of the products must be joined in the form of a group control line:
For the 6M and 4M actuators, the ground terminals (marked with 0V) of the
affected actuators must be mutually connected. Only the P terminal of a sin-
gle actuator may be used as a common connection for the group pushbut-
tons.
For the 6M230 and 4M230 actuators, the ground terminals (marked with 0V)
and the P terminals of the affected actuators must be mutually connected.
WARNING
Do not mutually connect actuators with different power supplies. A group
formation between 4/6M230 and 4/6M actuators is not possible.
To plan and document the inputs and outputs and the locking contacts, use
the tables on the last page of the actuator instructions. These tables are also
contained in the Chapter 5.3.
