Check that the number increases when the rear wheel is rotated.
The number is cumulative and does not reset each time the wheel
is stopped.

1 Locate the malfunction. Execute the diagnostic
mode. (Code No. 07)
Rotate the rear wheel by
hand and check that the indi-
cated value increases.
Value does not increase
Go to item 2.
Execute the diagnostic
mode. (Code No. 21)
When the transmission is in
neutral: “ON”
When the transmission is in
gear with the clutch lever re-
leased: “OFF”
Incorrect indication Go to
item 2 in section B for the
neutral switch.
When the transmission is in
gear with the clutch lever
squeezed and the sidestand
retracted: “ON”
Incorrect indication Go to
item 2 in section C for the
clutch switch.
2 Connection of rear wheel
sensor coupler.
Check the locking condition
of the coupler.
Disconnect the coupler and
check the pins (bent or bro-
ken terminals and locking
condition of the pins).
Improperly connected
Connect the coupler secure-
ly or replace the wire har-
ness.
Execute the diagnostic
mode. (Code No. 07)
Rotate the rear wheel by
hand and check that the indi-
cated value increases.
Value increases Go to
item 8 and delete the fault
code.
Value does not increase
Go to item 3.
Fault code No. 41
Item Lean angle sensor: open or short circuit detected.
