#100: Measuring 3D Objects
Temporary Measures
If you want to check on
some feature’s dimensions,
disable the measurement
markup. That way, the meas-
urement is visible only as
long as it is active. If you
change to another tool or
start another measurement,
the temporary markup
disappears.
Converting 3D
Measurements
to Comments
Unlike with the other forms
of commenting, you convert
measurements to comments
in the Model Tree pane.
Right-click the plus sign for
the measurement view you
want to work with to open
its list of measurements.
Right-click the measure-
ment to display the shortcut
menu, and choose Convert
to Comment. Read more in
#101, “Inserting Multimedia
Comments.”
If you decide to convert the
measurement to a comment
as you are measuring your
drawing, select the Hand
tool, right-click the measure-
ment, and choose Convert to
Comment from the shortcut
menu.
