Bleach, 10% solution
Tissue, lint-free
Coon or nylon swabs and lint-free cloths
Ethanol, 95% solution
Safety glasses
Pipee (100-µL) with pipee tips

To prevent damaging or contaminating the sample block, handle the assembly as
shown. After the assembly has been removed from the QuantStudio
6 or 7 Flex
System, place the sample block on a clean, dry surface or in its shipping container.
WARNING! PHYSICAL INJUR
Y HAZARD. During instrument operation, the
sample block can reach 100°C. Allow the sample block to cool to room
temperature before performing the procedure.
IMPORTANT! Wear powder-free gloves when you perform this procedure.
1.
Identify the contaminated w
ells of the sample block (see “How to identify
contamination“ on page 81).
2.
Power o and unplug the QuantStudio
6 or 7 Flex Real-Time PCR System, then
allow it to cool for 15 minutes.

Open the access door.
