13.1 About the ETM
The ETM trace unit is a module that performs real-time instruction flow tracing based on the
Embedded Trace Macrocell (ETM) architecture ETMv4. ETM is a CoreSight component, and
is an integral part of the ARM Real-time Debug solution, DS-5 Development Studio. See the
CoreSight documentation in Additional reading on page ix for more information.
