• Do not have anyone check the machine while you are driving with the engine running.
12.3 USING THE MACHINE
WARNING
If you encounter a situation where you are uncertain how to proceed, you should
ask an expert. Contact your dealer or your authorized service workshop. Avoid all
usage which you consider to be beyond your capability.
• Keep the handles dry, clean, and free of oil or fuel.
• Follow the instructions carefully when starting the engine. Keep your feet well away from
the blades.
• Always walk. Never run with the machine.
• Be sure to always have an adequate space to maneuver, especially in the presence of walls,
hedges, rows, artifacts, greenhouses, etc. Do not try reversing unless you are sure you have
adequate space.
WARNING
Take great care when changing direction, especially when working on slopes.
WARNING
When driving downhill, do not disengage the drive and do not change gear.
• Do not change the engine rotation speed regulator adjustment.
• Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating or moving parts.
• Never lift or transport the machine when the engine is running.
• Slow down the engine before switching it off.
WARNING
Do not leave the machine unattended with the engine running. Stop the engine
whenever you leave the machine, before refueling and before any maintenance or
cleaning.
• Stop the machine if the working tool strikes a foreign object. Examine the unit and repair
any damaged parts.
• Be particularly cautious and alert while wearing hearing protection because such equipment
may restrict your ability to hear sounds indicating danger (calls, signals, warnings, etc).
• We recommend you work the land with several passes. This will produce finely plowed land
without overloading the machine.
• For best work, always work with the engine at full speed and the machine moving forward
in low gear. Good work will never be achieved if the forward speed is too high.
