13.5 GEARBOX OIL
All the gearbox and transmission components are submerged in an oil bath. Before using the
machine, always check the oil level (Fig. 49) by means of plug (A, Fig. 47). Top up if necessary.
Oil change
After every 200 hours of operation it is necessary to change the gearbox oil:
• Check that the machine is in the horizontal position.
• Undo the cap (B, Fig. 48).
• Let the oil drain out of the gearbox until it is completely emptied.
• Refit the cap (B, Fig. 48).
• Fill the gearbox through filler hole (B, Fig. 47) with 80W-90 oil (gearbox capacity 4 liters) until
reaching the correct level (Fig. 49).
WARNING
Before carrying out maintenance, also carefully read the engine manual.
13.6 ADJUSTING THE BRAKE LEVERS
Put the transmission in the disengaged position and the brake levers in the parking position
(Fig. 50). Check that the wheels of the tiller are locked. If not, loosen the nuts (B) and turn the
adjusters (A, Fig. 50). After adjusting, retighten the nuts (B, Fig. 50).
13.7 ADJUSTING OTHER CONTROL LEVERS
All control levers on the handlebars must make the full stroke and remain locked in position
(Fig. 51). If this is not the case, turn the adjuster (C, Fig. 52) to tension the control cable correctly
after having loosened the two nuts (D).
13.8 CUTTER ASSEMBLY
WARNING
Do not weld, straighten or change the shape of damaged cutting devices in an
attempt to repair them. Such operations can result in the cutting device becoming
detached and causing serious or fatal injury.
13.9 CUTTER ASSEMBLY MAINTENANCE
For maintenance of cutter assemblies, see chapter 14 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES.
13.10 QUICKFIT
Before starting work, grease the power take-off using the grease nipple (E, Fig. 53).
Every 50 working hours, disassemble the Quickfit and grease the parts (see chapter 6.1 FITTING
TILLER WITH CUTTER BAR, 6.2 FITTING TILLER WITH ROTOR BLADE).
