PC3000 with 26" Deck (PC3000-26) User’s Manual
4-6 Document ID 13-003 v 2.0
11. Activate the wireless terminal. Refer to “Wireless Terminal,” page 5-1.
12. Press the MOTOR START button.
13. The PLC is programmed with a Carrier Encoder Override control. Use the wireless terminal to unspool
cable on the drum by simultaneously pressing and holding the MOTOR START and
TERMINAL START/RESET buttons while operating the CARRIER LIFT UP/DOWN lever.
14. If it becomes necessary to unwind enough cable to cause the Stopped–Cable Spoolout Limit error to
appear, the hydraulic pump will shut OFF. To restart the pump, open the control console (Figure 3-10,
page 3-11) and turn the Hyd. Motor AUTO/HAND switch to the HAND position. Use the Carrier
Encoder Override Control until this alarm is reset.
15. Resume rig up.
16. Before lifting the ramp, ensure the Catwalk is level (both front-to-back and side-to-side), and is well
supported on the lease.
17. Prior to raising the ramp, ensure the carrier is resting in the Catwalk bed, retracted towards the flare
end as far as possible. This will prevent carrier track damage on the lower end of the ramp during
rig up.
Warning!
Pump rotation MUST be checked and corrected
during installation, and each time wiring changes
are made on the rig.
Warning!
Before attempting to operate the Catwalk, correct
any errors displayed on the HMI screen.
Caution
Once the alarm has been cleared, be sure to return
the Hyd. Motor AUTO/HAND switch to AUTO.
