8.1.6 Oil seal, snap ring, and wheel bearing
Removal and installation

Removal steps
1-Snap ring; 2-Bearing; 3-Steering knuckle;
4-Inner race; 5-Oil seal
1. Remove the oil seal and snap ring.
Once the bearing outer race is removed, replace
it with a new bearing assembly (outer race,
bearing, and inner race).
2. Remove the wheel bearing with the special
tool and hydraulic press.

Installation steps
1-Press; 2-Steering knuckle
1. Press in the bearing with the special
tool.
When replacing bearing, outer race and inner
race, make sure to replace a complete set of
new components.
